In a changing world, gardens must craft innovative strategies for sharing their message. One powerful tool that can easily grow a garden's influence is Instagram. With over one billion active users monthly, it is a top platform for brands, influencers, cultural attractions, and the public. For gardens, Instagram is a powerful social media tool that has the potential to: Reach a new demographic, attract visitors, highlight horticultural displays, educate, promote events, connect communities, raise awareness, and inspire a love for gardens and plants.

Through Instagram, each garden (no matter the size) has the potential to exponentially increase the magnitude of its reach. This can have a widespread, global effect on shaping the perspective on how humans interact with nature. The key aspects of this session will discuss the unique approaches that three diverse gardens have used on Instagram and the valuable lessons they have learned along the way.
