Historic preservation of landscapes can be a complex and challenging but rewarding pursuit. A wide range of factors can inform even small-scale landscape management decisions as organizations respond to current issues such as climate change, the need for more inclusive re-examinations of historic narratives, public safety concerns, changing organizational culture, and our evolving understanding of the role public gardens and historic sites play in society. This session will utilize case studies to explore these factors more deeply.
At the start of the session, we'll announce Association Awardees, recognize our volunteer leadership, and provide important Association updates.
